Well, you have to admit that I don’t exactly fill your email inbox with a lot of unnecessary emails.  I like to stay in touch.  But, I just get way too many emails every day, as I’m sure you do, too. So, unless I actually, have something to say to you or, it has just been long enough that I need to drop by and at least say “Hello”, you don’t hear too much from me.  Usually, I feel like I don’t have that much to say.  But then, I start writing like this and I find I have plenty.

Figure 1:  FJ at Fox Barn

It’s another busy summer shaping up for this year.  I’m returning to several venues of previous years like, the Fox Barn (Shelby), Crystal Mountain Resort (Thompsonville), Saugatuck Brewing (Douglas), the Badger (x-lake ferry), and of course, my old standby, the Village Café (Pentwater), to name a few.  But I’ll be playing several new venues too, like the Cabbage Shed (Elberta), 3 different golf clubs, Lincoln Hills (Ludington), Hemlock, (Ludington) and Manistee Golf & C.C., (Manistee) as well as, Ludington Bay Brewing (Ludington) and, TJ’s Pub (Manistee).  Then, of course, there are the inevitable civic events and the private parties of summer.  This is not a complete list so, be sure to check my schedule.

FACEBOOK LIVE VIDEO:
I am going to see if I can do a regular, weekly live online video via FaceBook Live.  Broadcasts will be on Thursday at 10:30 am, starting on Thursday, May 30.  Please join in and give me your feedback.  I will take requests but I will also be trying out some new tunes on you.

MEMORIAL DAY:
Here’s 2 songs that pay tribute to our troops.
1.  Angel In Black – If you’ve never heard this beautiful tune, you really should give it a listen.
2.  Devil’s Dune – This is a rocker ala Springsteen complete with some great tenor sax by Crispin Cioe.

TOM SNYDER, 1945-2018

Figure 2:  Tom Snyder, R.I.P. “Adios and Carpe Diem!”

My brother in-law Tom Snyder passed away suddenly, last Wednesday, May 16, from complications of pneumonia.  Many of you knew Tommy.  He was an amazing man and, someone I admired very much.  He’s a huge loss to our family.  He will be greatly missed!  R.I.P., Tommy.
