FJ playing solo

We are still having some warm days in the 70’s and even up to 80 but, by and large, things are cooling here as we head into fall.  Fall is my favorite season!

WHAT’S BEEN GOING DOWN AND WHAT’S COMING UP.

Northern Express Magazine just did a very nice article on me.  I’m a lucky guy to get this kind of attention.  It was even dated 9/11/15 which, is our wedding anniversary.  Read the Northern Express article.

This past summer has been terrific for both Margi and I.  It is beyond words to say how good it feels to be back in my hometown of Ludington where I grew up, went to school and worked.  We know so very many people here, it feels like extended family and we feel well supported in all our endeavors. Margi and I are extremely grateful for the opportunities live here for 8 months and to escape the cold of a hard winter to Florida.

We have been very busy this year working on our apartment in the upstairs of the 2-unit house we bought a couple of years ago. We’re a couple of DIY types from way back.  The kitchen is torn up presently and we’ve been eating out a lot because of that.  We’ll both be glad to see that project come to an end.  Then, another will begin.  Ahh, home ownership.

On the business end, I’ve gotten into a couple of new venues over the summer, Left Foot Charley Winery Traverse City and, Moratz Bakery & Pub, New Era. I will be returning to both of them.

CHECK MY SCHEDULE:  This link will take you right to the schedule on my web site.  I’m still performing in Michigan but, I will begin booking my winter season in Florida, very soon.  As a matter of fact, I just confirmed that I will be playing every Thursday, Jan-Apr. at the Waterside Grill in Placida, FLbeginning on Jan. 14.  I’ll keep you posted at winter nears and we start thinking about clearing out of the north country.

COMING UP!

SLIGHTLY PLUGGED, STORIES INTO SONG:  A songwriters evening at L.A.C.A. – Right off the bat, I want to bring to your attention a very cool performance opportunity that has come my way.  I am very excited about this show!  Mark your calendar for October 02, 2015 for the “Slightly Plugged, Stories into Song” songwriter’s show at Ludington Area Center for the Arts or, L.A.C.A., for short.  (This link takes you to the FaceBook Event page.)

Yours Truly will be hosting this event that features some of Michigan’s very best singer/songwriters to include Jen SygitDrew Nelson and Ralston Bowles.  If you are not already familiar with these great talents please, take a few minutes to explore their web sites or, get a short synopsis on the FaceBook Event page.

I will be joining these 3 great talents with my own songs as the 4 of us present to you, our original songs and their back-stories.  Each of us, in turn, Nashville style, like they do at the Bluebird Café’ will introduce and perform a song and then, it moves to the next performer.  You will not want to miss this very special event at L.A.C.A.
